Curriculum vitae
I was born and raised in Thessaloniki. I studied Nutrition and Dietetics at the former Alexandrio Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki (ATEITH).
During my studies I took part in European research projects, such as the "Interventional Study of Nutritional Education for the Treatment of Degenerative Diseases" in collaboration with the municipalities of Thessaloniki. We implemented nutritional intervention in patients with metabolic diseases, completed questionnaires, recorded their anthropometric measurements and gave suitable diet for each patient. I also participated in the COSI (Childhood Obesity Surveillance Initiative) program in collaboration with the World Health Organization, the Hellenic Obesity Society, the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics of ATEITH and primary schools of Thessaloniki. Anthropometric measurements of students were recorded. From September 2015 to March 2016, I did my internship at the "Agios Dimitrios" General Hospital, where I was responsible for planning diets for the patients of each clinic and ordering food supplies according to the daily menu and the number of patients.
In 2016, I continued my Master's studies "Nutrition in Health and Disease" in Medicine, at the University of Thessaly. In 2018 I did my internship through an Erasmus program at the Health and Aging Foundation of UAB, in Barcelona, Spain. There, I was involved in intervention programs for older people at risk of frailty. Returned in Greece, in May of 2019 I delivered lectures in primary schools of Thessaloniki through the Program "Free distribution of fruits, vegetables and milk in primary schools" in collaboration with the Ministry of Rural Development and Food & Education, the Ministry of Research and Religion and the Prolepsis Institute. Later, in 2021, as an academic visitor, I participated in the "Plant-based alternatives" project in the University of Reading in England, through the EIT Food Fellowships.
In 2022, as a research assistant at the Institute of Applied Biosciences-CERTH, I provided nutritional guidance to the participants in the "Personalised Nutrition for Healthy Living" program, while at the same time I started my PhD thesis in the Department of Food and Nutrition Sciences at the Aegean University.
Finally, during this time I have been working on the project "Governance of food supply chain to equilibrate price and profits of high quality and safe mediterranean foods" in collaboration with the Aegean University.
